Extradition

Extradition (often mistakenly called deportation) is the official process of surrender of a person by one state, here United Kingdom to another state, here Poland, for the purposes of criminal trial or executing a custodial sentence.

We understand that an arrest pursuant to the European Arrest Warrant is extremely stressful for the requested person and his family. Arrests are often carried out at night or early in the morning and the person is brought before the court as soon as practicable. It is therefore very important that the right advice is given by an experienced solicitor at the very outset of the case. Mullenders Solicitors operate 24 hours emergency service every day of the year where you can contact our Polish speaking solicitor Anna Maziarz, who specialises in extradition law.

Extradition process, in addition to being extremely stressful for the requested person results also in severe disruption of a family life and comes with serious consequences, often financial or psychological. We understand how important for our Clients, who are often sole provides for their families, is bail in order that they continue working whilst their case is ongoing. We appreciate the need for direct contact with Polish courts or prosecutors and we collaborate with renown Polish lawyers in order to provide cross-border service.

We represent clients under the Legal Aid scheme subject to eligibility.
For private representation we will provide an estimate of fees and in many cases can arrange fixed fees and staged payments.
